The purpose of this program is to train aspiring students as Travel Counselors including knowledge in the following areas: Conventions and Meeting Planning, Geography, Vacations, Cruising, Travel Theory, Travel Computers (Amadeus software), Travel Ticketing, Flight Attendant, Travel Law, Hotel Front Office Procedures; as well as knowledge in general areas including: Keyboarding, Customer Service, General Supervisory Skills, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Integrated. This is accomplished through an effective balance of theory and hands on practical training invo lving lecture, current texts and personal attention. At the end of this course students are prepared to enter the workforce as an entry- level Travel Counselor.
