The purpose of this program is to train aspiring students in the areas necessary to a Medical Office Specialist / Medical Insurance Billing & Coding including; Medical Office Procedures, Medical Terminology, Medical Coding and Billing, Medical Law and Ethics, Medical Insurance Claims and Medical Manager software; as well as the skills needed by an Office Specialist including; Keyboarding, and Microsoft Word and Excel. This is accomplished through an effective balance of theory and hands on practical training involving lecture, current texts and personal attention. At the end of this course students are prepared to enter the workforce as an entry-level Medical Office Specialist.
