Course Description:

This course provides a hands-on approach to the selling of airline travel related services as it relates to current common practices. This hands on environment encompasses learning of the following: The functions of the Airlines Reporting Corporation, decoding by memory major North American airline codes, Interpreting airline seat maps, baggage allowances, how passengers can be affected by overbooking, identify each of the 50 states on a blank map, interpret the different code elements of fare-basis codes, read and interpret fare quotes, interpret parts of a Passenger Name Record (PNR), the proper way to handwrite an airline ticket, a prepaid ticket advice, a miscellaneous charges order.
