Course Description:
This course covers nutrition and digestive systems as they are related to the pharmacy technician and their role in a pharmacy.
This course satisfies requirements for AIDS education for pharmacy technicians. Covered in the course is etiology of HIV/AIDS, universal precautions, and legal and ethical issues associated with HIV/AIDS. American Heart Association guidelines for CPR are described, with opportunity for students to demonstrate an ability to perform according to standards.
