Career Description:
The individual in this career books tours, generally for travel counselors but sometimes for group organizers or individual travelers, usually by telephone. Duties include eliciting information in order to make recommendations and help travel agents/counselors book the appropriate product; recommending ways to combine the tour with other travel; determining the costs of a tour; and communicating deposit requirements and cancellation policies. In addition, the individual in this career communicates with other departments about the bookings and helps to handle concerns from customers.
