Career Description:
This is a great career for a mature person looking to deal with a more professional clientele. There is very little walk in business. Most travel consists of airline tickets, hotel stays and a car rental. There is very little weekend work. This is a great transition for those who are used to working in the corporate business market. This type of agent books the transportation and lodging for business travelers. Responsibilities include: answering phones, talking to business travelers or their secretaries, giving out information on fares and availability via the computer, and making and changing reservations. The corporate counselor's primary job is to keep a company's account by giving good service.
