Reservations agents may work at large airline reservations centers, in city ticket offices, or at airports. At airline reservations centers they may work in a large office on a computer, handling calls from potential travelers. In cities with reservations centers, most beginners start at the airport, handling passengers, and perhaps helping experienced reservationists at first. Handling telephone requests for tickets, assisting passengers with schedules and fares, and dealing with customer service questions. Airline Ticket Agents provide information on prices, seating, schedules, special requests, escorts for juveniles, ticket policies, and availability; reserve seats on flights; issue tickets; and research and resolve passenger problems.
